Consider getting involved ...
The association's activity is organized and administered by the Board of Directors (12 volunteers).  If you've got a bit of time and some energy, are willing to get involved and have some fun, you could help in any of these various aspects:
  • event planning,
  • advertising and public relations,
  • volunteer co-ordination,
  • membership sales/administration,
  • web site design/administration, or
  • sponsorships and fundraising.
How much time does it take?  Board meetings occur monthly, and take about 90 minutes.  The time required beyond that depends on what you volunteer to take responsibility for.

We hope you'll consider standing for election to the board at this meeting.  Please write to us by e-mail, if you would like more information beforehand.

Meeting Agenda
  • Business meeting:
    • Reports on past year
    • Election of Officers (President, Secretary and Treasurer) and Directors (9)
  • Keynote speech: Planning for life -- making financial decisions
    • Martha Myron CPA/PFS CFP(r), Senior Sales Manager with The Bank of Bermuda's Investment Centre, and Royal Gazette business columnist
    • Making decisions about finances is never easy for many people. Add a relationship into the equation and money issues may be even more difficult (and complicated) to resolve.
  • Remarks by Ms. Pamela Wallin, Canada's Consul General to New York and Commissioner for Bermuda

Membership in the association costs $10 per year per person, and entitles you to discounts at most of our events.

Save this date -- our 2005 Canada Day Beach Party will be held on Saturday June 25th (the weekend before Canada Day).

The fine print: You must be a member to stand for election.  To vote at the Annual General Meeting, you must be paid up and have been a member 90 days before the meeting.
