Dear Canadian(s),
The Bermuda National Gallery is pleased to announce that in Jan 2008 we will
be hosting a beautiful display of Inuit art: stone cut prints, sculptures,
tapestries, and wall hangings, all from the Artic North!
As a fellow Canadian, I am proud to say that the BNG is bringing in art that
many Canadians may not see ever on their home soil, as one of the
collections is kept in the U.S., at the Dennos Museum in Michigan.
The official opening of the exhibition is Jan.27, 2008, at 5:00 pm.
The BNG is located on the 2nd floor of City Hall, Hamilton.
I have attached one example of the sculpture to be on view. This work is
entitled Mother and Child, by Michel Kanayuk from Baker Lake, 1977.
