A Canadian national newspaper has run a damning editorial on the botched handling of the Rebecca Middleton rape and murder case.

 

The Globe and Mail, which sells an average of 330,000 a day, said an ongoing judicial review represents “a final chance for the British territory to remove this stain on its reputation and to send a clear message that the days when sex assaults were treated lightly are over. “
