The Formal Rules of MembershipA person shall be entitled to be registered in the register of Members if he: - 1. Has paid the minimum of contribution; and 2. Is an individual aged 18 or older. Membership classes shall be:
- Regular: paid-up Members, resident in Bermuda;
- Associate: paid-up Members, non-resident in Bermuda. Such Members hold no voting rights; and
- Honorary: memberships may be awarded by the Board to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Association. These shall constitute no more than 5 % of the total membership of the Association.
- Members may be removed for cause by a two-thirds (2/3) affirmative vote of the Board.
- The annual dues for each Member and/or Associate Member shall be $10.00. Annual dues will be due by the expiry date.
Membership period:The period of membership shall be from the date of registration until the 15th day of June of the calendar year of the date of registration or until the 15th day of June of the calendar immediately following the date of registration if the registration was made on or after the 1st day of April in any year.Members who fail to pay their dues within the specified time from the time the same become due shall be notified by the Secretary and if payment is not made within the succeeding thirty (30) days shall forfeit any rights and privileges of membership. The Board may at its discretion prescribe procedures for extending the time for payment of dues and continuation of membership privileges upon request of a Member showing just cause.
