Bermuda compensates slain Ont. teen's family (CTV News) |

The Bermuda government has finally compensated a Belleville, Ont.,
family whose teenaged daughter was raped and murdered while on vacation
in the island country 10 years ago.
The amount given to Rebecca Middleton's family, however, is a mere
$2,840.63 US. Middleton's mother had submitted a maximum $100,000 claim
to Bermuda's Criminal Injuries Compensation Board for pain and
suffering.
